Terms of Service – Meeba

Last updated: 16 August 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Meeba iOS app and website (together, the "Service"), operated by Aran Belson, a sole proprietor registered in Israel as an osek patur (exempt dealer) ("the Operator", "we", "us").

Using the Service — registering, posting a job, or applying — means you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Definitions

1.1. "Business" – a hospitality business that registers for the Service to post jobs and find workers.

1.2. "Worker" – a user who registers for the Service to browse jobs and apply to them.

1.3. "User" – anyone who uses the Service, as a Business or as a Worker.

1.4. "Candidate profile" – the details a Worker uploads: professional headline, bio, work experience, certificates, connections and endorsements.

1.5. "Unlock" – an action by a Business that reveals a specific Worker's direct contact details, using its unlock allowance, as described in Section 5.

1.6. "User content" – anything a User uploads, submits or publishes on the Service, including profile details, photos, certificates, job descriptions and screening answers.

2. What the Service Is

2.1. The Service lets Businesses post jobs and browse candidate profiles, and lets Workers browse jobs and apply to them.

2.2. Meeba is a technology platform only, and is not a party to the relationship between a Business and a Worker. We don't employ Workers, act as an employment or staffing agency, or provide placement services, and we take no part in negotiations, interviews, onboarding, pay, or any other employment terms. Any employment relationship that forms is between the Business and the Worker alone — the employer's obligations under labour law, including wages, benefits, working hours and workplace safety, rest with the Business alone.

2.3. The Service is currently free for all Users, including Businesses. Registration, creating a profile, posting jobs, browsing jobs and applying cost nothing at this time. We don't currently charge for use of the Service; if this changes in future, we'll give advance notice as described in Section 14.

2.4. Dealings between a Business and a Worker happen directly between them, at their own responsibility. We don't warrant that a posted job will lead to a hire, that an application will lead to employment, or that any User content is accurate, complete or current — each User must exercise their own judgement, including a Business's responsibility to verify a candidate's identity and qualifications before hiring them.

2.5. We may add, change or remove features of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1. The Service is available to persons aged 16 and over. Date of birth is required at registration, and registration is refused where the details given indicate an age under 16.

3.2. A User under 18 confirms they use the Service with a guardian's knowledge and consent. Employing a minor is subject to applicable youth-employment law — including minimum working age, hours, prohibited work and medical certification — and compliance is the hiring Business's responsibility alone.

3.3. You must give true, accurate and current details at registration and keep them updated. False details are a breach of these Terms.

3.4. You may register using an email address and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple (Apple Sign-In is currently available on iOS only). You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3.5. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred, lent or sold. Anyone acting on behalf of a Business confirms they're authorised to bind that Business to these Terms.

4. User Content

4.1. You're solely responsible for the User content you upload, and confirm it's accurate, that it infringes no third-party rights, and that you're entitled to upload it.

4.2. By uploading User content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, sublicensable to our service providers, to store, display, reproduce, process and adapt that content solely to operate the Service (including displaying a Worker's profile to a hiring Business). This licence ends when the content or account is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or as described in the Privacy Policy.

4.3. You may not upload content that's false or misleading, offensive, threatening or harassing, sexual in nature, infringing of copyright or IP, containing a third party's personal information without consent, or otherwise unlawful.

4.4. We don't routinely monitor User content, but may remove or block content that, in our reasonable judgement, breaches these Terms or the law, and will notify the User.

4.5. A job posting must reflect a genuine, available position, described fairly and without misleading. Discrimination in a job posting or in the selection process is prohibited.

4.6. Reporting content. If you come across User content that breaches these Terms — a false or impersonating profile, a fake job posting, offensive or harassing material, or content that infringes your rights — report it to us at aran@meeba.co, with enough detail to identify the content. We aim to review reports within two business days and will remove content and suspend accounts where warranted under Section 12. Rights holders may use the same address to report copyright or trade mark infringement.

5. The Unlock Mechanism

5.1. A Worker's direct contact details (phone and email) aren't shown to Businesses by default. A Business wishing to contact a Worker must perform an unlock, deducted from its unlock allowance.

5.2. An unlock grants access to the contact details to the performing Business only.

5.3. An unlock is final and can't be reversed once the contact details have been displayed — including where the Worker doesn't respond, is unsuitable, or is no longer interested. It's the Business's responsibility to review the visible profile before unlocking.

5.4. We log every unlock — the Business, the job and the time — so we can tell a Worker who their details were disclosed to, and to enforce the limits of the mechanism, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5.5. A Worker who uploads a profile acknowledges their contact details may be disclosed to Businesses through this mechanism, and also where they've applied to that Business's job.

5.6. Business obligations after an unlock: a Business that receives a Worker's contact details holds them as an independent controller and is responsible for using them in accordance with applicable privacy law. It's strictly prohibited to transfer, sell or distribute contact details obtained through the Service to any third party, to use them for anything other than recruitment for the posted role, or to send advertising material through them contrary to applicable law.

5.7. A new Business may receive an introductory allowance of unlocks, limited to one per Business; we prevent repeat claims as described in the Privacy Policy. Opening an additional account to obtain a further allowance is a breach of these Terms.

6. Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence

6.1. The Service uses third-party AI tools — among other things to match candidates with jobs and to perform initial screening of application answers — as described in the Privacy Policy.

6.2. Automated processing may affect the order in which you're shown to Businesses or the progress of your application. It never makes the final decision — hiring decisions are always made by the Business.

6.3. Outputs of automated processing — including match rankings and screening assessments — are indicative only, and aren't a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee by us regarding any candidate or job. If you believe an error occurred, contact us for a manual review.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, yourself or through another:

7.1. Post a false or misleading job, create a false profile, or impersonate another person or business.

7.2. Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the unlock mechanism — including collecting Workers' contact details other than through it, sharing unlocked details with another Business, or soliciting Users to communicate off-Service to bypass it.

7.3. Harass, discriminate against, or otherwise abuse another User.

7.4. Use the Service for an unlawful purpose, including offering work on terms contrary to labour law, or demanding payment from a Worker as a condition of employment.

7.5. Use a bot, crawler or scraper to collect information from the Service, or reuse Service content for commercial purposes.

7.6. Harm or attempt to harm the Service's operation or security, including distributing malicious code, unauthorised penetration testing, or bypassing rate-limiting or authentication.

7.7. Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except as expressly permitted by mandatory law.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. All IP rights in the Service — the software, design, the "Meeba" mark, the logo and our content — belong to us or our licensors.

8.2. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purposes under these Terms. Nothing here transfers any right in the Service's IP.

8.3. Your User content remains yours, subject to the licence in Section 4.2.

9. Privacy

Use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The nature of the Service involves exposing a Worker's profile to hiring Businesses, as described in the Privacy Policy and Section 5 above.

10. Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties

10.1. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We don't warrant uninterrupted or fault-free operation, continuous availability, or that it meets your needs.

10.2. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, updates or security, and will aim to keep downtime short and give advance notice where possible.

10.3. The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or policies; your use of them is subject to their own terms.

11. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

11.1. We aren't liable for any loss arising from the dealings or relationship between a Business and a Worker — including a discrepancy between a job posting and actual employment terms, non-payment of wages, infringement of employee rights, termination of employment, or any other dispute between them. Such disputes are to be resolved directly between the Business and the Worker.

11.2. We aren't liable for loss caused by reliance on User content uploaded by a third party, or by the conduct of another User on or off the Service.

11.3. Subject to Section 11.5, we aren't liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of profits, loss of a business or employment opportunity, loss of goodwill or loss of data.

11.4. Subject to Section 11.5, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ILS 200 if you made no payment.

11.5. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that can't be limited or excluded by law, including for personal injury, wilful or grossly negligent acts, or mandatory consumer rights.

11.6. Indemnity: you'll indemnify us for any damage, loss or reasonable expense (including legal fees) caused by your breach of these Terms, by User content you uploaded, or by a third-party claim arising from your actions on the Service. We'll notify you of any such claim and let you take part in the defence.

12. Suspension and Termination

12.1. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time, from the Settings screen in the app. See the Privacy Policy for the effect of deletion on your information.

12.2. We may suspend or close an account, temporarily or permanently, for: breach of these Terms, reasonable suspicion of fraud or impersonation, posting false jobs, abuse of the unlock mechanism or introductory allowance, or use that harms other Users or the Service.

12.3. We'll give advance notice and an opportunity to respond where circumstances allow, except where immediate action is needed to protect the Service, its Users, or to comply with a legal obligation.

12.4. Where we close a Business account for reasons other than breach, any unused unlock allowance is forfeited upon closure. Closure for breach doesn't give rise to any compensation, subject to Section 11.5.

12.5. Sections 4.2, 5.6, 8, 11, 16 and 17 survive termination.

13. Apple-Related Terms

13.1. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We — not Apple — are solely responsible for the app and its software.

13.2. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.

13.3. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price paid for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.

13.4. Apple isn't responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, legal-conformance, or IP infringement claims.

13.5. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and may enforce them against you.

13.6. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

14. Changes to These Terms

14.1. We may update these Terms from time to time. A material change will be brought to your attention via a notice in the Service or by email, at least 14 days before it takes effect.

14.2. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. General

15.1. Assignment: you may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours, including as part of a restructuring or business transfer, provided your rights aren't prejudiced.

15.2. Severability: if any provision is found void or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

15.3. Waiver: failing to enforce a right isn't a waiver of it.

15.4. Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

16.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel only.

16.2. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district. This doesn't affect a consumer's right to bring a claim in a competent court in their place of residence, where the law affords them that right.

16.3. The Service is offered in Israel and the United States only, and is not directed at residents of the European Union or the United Kingdom. A User outside Israel is responsible for ensuring their use of the Service also complies with the law applicable where they are.
